How to become a contestant in our teen program…

Junior Miss Wheelchair Kansas 2026
March 14-15, 2026
Doubletree Hotel, Lawrence, KS

Requirements

• Must be a female age 14-18.

• Must use a wheelchair for a majority of daily mobility outside of the home.

• Must have resided in the state of Kansas for at least 6 months prior to the annual event.

• Must be willing to travel to various cities in Kansas and fulfill the Junior Miss mission.

How to Apply

  • Contestants submit an application with a portrait and letter of recommendation.

  • All contestants are invited to part of the Ms. Wheelchair Kansas weekend.

  • During the weekend event, contestants enjoy activities and informational sessions.

  • Contestants also take part in and are scored on an interview.

  • Contestants also give a short speech on stage about their platform and answer one question. These are scored as well.

  • The contestant with the highest total score becomes the new Junior Miss Wheelchair Kansas!

  • Application DUE by January 7, 2026!
